Noakhali eighth grade student beat up, arrested

Noakhali correspondent: Rumana Akhter, daughter of Noor Mohammad of West Aoobazaliya village of Aoobazaliya union of Noakhali Sado upazila, was found guilty of murdering a construction worker Farooq. The incident took place on Sunday night.

She is an eighth grade student of a local school. After getting the news, police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy. The police detained his father Abul Kashem without getting the killer in the incident.

Locals said that Rumana, a student of the local school girl of Noor Mohammed of Aubazalia village, had a love relationship with her cousin Farooq of the same area. On Sunday night, Rumana was interrogated with Farooq. At one stage, Faruk hit Rumana's head. Later he became ill. Rumana was admitted to Noakhali General Hospital at 12 noon. He was taken to his house at night due to a bit of healing. He died on Monday morning.

Officer of Sadhar Model Police Station Anwar Hossain confirmed the incident and said that Rumana's mother Banu Begum filed a murder case with Sudharam police station in Farid and her father Abul Kashem. The attempt to catch Faruq has continued.
