President Abdul Hamid said that Bangladesh is moving forward in every sector of socio-economic development. There is no alternative to correct and qualified leadership to continue this trend of development and progress. We have got independence under the leadership of Bangabandhu, and he is going forward with the aim of development of the country led by his well-deserved daughter Sheikh Hasina. The university is the ideal place for leadership development. Therefore, besides regular teaching of teachers, there is a need to awaken leadership qualities among the students. Student politics will be idealistic By eliminating a team or individual dependency, students will have to develop a culture of individual and ideological politics. If there is a living, skilled and well-meaning leadership in the country. In addition to this, there should be a vigilant attitude towards the students so that they can not engage themselves in any way in extortion, terrorism, drug and militant activities including anti-social activities. He urged the importance of co-education and open-minded education as well as education.


The president said these words at a function organized on the occasion of the Second Convocation of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) on Sunday afternoon.

He said the present government has already taken Delta Plan-200. Under the Delta Plan, the coastal areas will talk about ensuring safe water management, acquisition of sea resources and its best use. He also urged the university to play an important role in utilizing the huge resources of the vast sea level acquired by the Prime Minister.

The convocation of the Ekushey Padak Professor and eminent sociologist Dr. Rafiqul Islam spoke at the ceremony held at the central playground of the university. Anupam Sen addressed the special guest, Education Minister Dr. Dipumni, welcome speech, University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. M. Ahiduzzaman, Nobeprabha Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Faruq Uddin The program was conducted by Registrar Professor. Mominul Haque.

10 gold medals were given among the students. There are 6 graduate level graduates and 4 of the Chancellor Gold Medal and postgraduate. In graduation, 2263 graduate degrees and 445 postgraduate degrees were awarded.
