Dowry demands Noakhali housewife murder, father-in-law and mother-in-law detained

Noakhali correspondent:Police recovered the body of a housewife named Sharmin Akhter Ritu (20) in Charfakira Union under Companyganj upazila of Noakhali. Sharmin's mother alleged that her husband Mosharraf Hossain Bahadur escaped from the companyganj health complex after killing Sharmin.

 Police have arrested Abul Kalam, 44, and his mother-in-law Ardhani (40).

His body was recovered from Companyganj Health Complex on Friday noon. . Housewife escaped from the area after the incident. Housewife Sharmin Akter Ritu is the wife of Mosharaf Hossain Bahadur, the new house of Kala Mia of Walton Adartanagar village in Charfakira union of the upazila.

Janazah, in 017, Ward No. 1 of Charfakira Union was married to Sharmin Akhter Ritu, the daughter of Fakhrul Islam Sabhaj of the new house of Kamal Mastari in 017. Omar, son of Abul Kalam, son of Abul Kalam of Ideal village of same union, was married to Mosharraf Hossain Bahadur. Husband Bahadur came home from Oman 24 days ago. Since coming, there was a dispute between different issues between the Janazahas. They have no children yet.

Sharmin's mother, Taib said, "After the marriage, her daughter was pressurized for the demand of dowry on behalf of Sharmin's father-in-law." Sharmin did not agree with his proposal because he was tortured physically and mentally in various ways. We did not find any solution to this remedy socially. She further complained that her husband Sharmin was murdered and her husband Mosharraf Hossain Bahadur escaped from Companyganj Health Complex.

Officer-in-charge of Companyganj Police Station (OC) Asaduzzaman told that the body of Sharmin was recovered from the Companyganj Health Complex. Sharmin's mother alleged that her father-in-law and mother-in-law were arrested. Law enforcement will be taken after the post mortem examination, he said.
