Rape of Noakhali housewife suicide due to poisoning

Noakhali Correspondent: A woman has been found guilty of suicide in a house of poisonous victims of rape in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali. The deceased was identified as Poli Akter, 22, wife of Mohammad Yusuf Sohag of Pir Maksum village of Mohammadpur union.

The victim's father-in-law Noor Karim said that on the night of no one, Alauddin of the same area entered the house and raped him. On hearing the policeman, Alauddin was fined Tk 60 thousand in the arbitration meeting and he was released after the arrest of Alauddin. In her absence, she committed suicide by drinking poison in the morning.

Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of the hospital Syed Mohiuddin Abdul Azim said that Poli Akhter was taken to hospital in the afternoon. His body was kept in the morgue for autopsy.

Officer in charge of the Police Sahed Uddin said that the police were sent to the spot. Legal measures will be taken in this regard.
