Human chain in Companyganj protested against the journalists of the Jugantar

Noakhali Correspondent: Protests and human chains have been held in Companyganj in Noakhali to protest the arrest of journalists of the daily Jugantor and immediate release of arrested journalists. People from different class groups participated in the upazilas with the journalists working in the human chain.

On Thursday (February 28th) at 11am, a human chain was organized at the companyganj journalism association in front of Companiganj upazila parishad and Companyganj unit of Jugantor.

The speakers demanded the release of journalists arrested in false cases filed by five reporters of the Jugantor arrested in the Digital Security Act by the speakers. Also the big barriers to objective journalism from human chain are demanded to repeal the Digital Security Act.
