Construction of Shaheed Minar near the toilets of Noakhali Hatia, anger among locals people

Noakhali correspondent: In the heart of Upazila Sadar Ochchhali, in the heart of Noakhali Island Upazila Upazila Upazila, in front of the toilet, Shahid Minar, a symbol of the language martyrs, was built near the toilets of traditional high school. There is anger among the locals with the Shaheed Minar under construction of the tribute to the martyrs. Though there is anger, the construction of the Shaheed Minar does not stop.

The locals said that Shaheed Minar is being constructed to mark the martyrdom of great language movement and memorials and great tributes to martyrs of Liberation War and beside the toilets. They complained that the managing committee of the AM High School has neglected the locals' views and made Shahid Minar compliant without any rules. Anyone who looks at the insulting of the martyrs, will be seen by any person.

The students and local people will come to give flowers only to this martyr's minaret to give tribute to the martyrs on Language Day, Independence Day and the Great Victory Day. But being beside the toilets there will be an uncomfortable atmosphere. They do not take any action even if the local people are informed by the school's managing committee and the local representatives, not to build the Shaheed Minar beside the toilets.

The headmaster of AM High School, A N M Hasan said that the Shaheed Minar is being constructed in the school's own finances. But as far as I know, the adjoining toilet will be broken by the Shaheed Minar. A decision has been taken in the meeting of the managing committee. The President of the Managing Committee can tell more details about this.

Professor Syed Ashraful Islam, the president of the school's managing committee, moved or removed the toilets, but he did not receive it.

Hatiya Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nur Alam, who tried to contact him on mobile phone, did not receive it.
